講義のテーマ・概要・ねらい

In this class, the students will study grammatical structure necessary in daily-life English conversation, then practice in pair to improve their speaking skill. Comprehension skill will be increased by reading short stories that are relevant to the grammar pattern of the textbook. Composing skill　will be increased by writing manuscripts for oral presenta -tion.Regular oral presentations will improve students' con-fidence while presenting reports in front of large audience in practical life. Listening exercises will help them to devel-op their aural comprehension skill. The videotapes will give the students practical ideas about how to communicate with　non-Japanese either on business relations or while traveling abroad. Assignment will be given at the end of each chapter.

Regular attendance in class. Perform assignments in time.

評価の方法・基準

Average of the chapter assignments scores and the score ofyear final examination will be used for evaluation.
